Restaurants in Okeechobee Florida Near Water’s Edge RV Park in Central Florida

  • Lightsey Fish Company & Seafood Restaurant If it hops, crawls or swims they probably serve it here. Menu offers a wide variety of locally caught seafood, from the Gulf, Atlantic Ocean and Lake Okeechobee.  Lots of choice including fried oysters, frog legs, grouper, catfish, shrimp, alligator and scallops. Atmosphere is family friendly.
  • Los Cocos Mexican Restaurant This long time local favorite offers all the classic Mexican dishes you love including nachos, fajitas, and tostadas.  We recommend the wet burrito.  Everything is homemade and yummy including the tortillas and the best sweet tea in Okeechobee.
  • Joey’s Supreme Pizza & Subs II Start with the garlic knots. They are huge, warm and fresh.   If you are careful not to fill up you’ll be happy when this pizza is delivered.  They serve up a great thin crust NY style pie.
  • Zippy’s Zesty Wings They are famous for their buffalo wings, and recently expanded their menu to include Po’Boy’s, burgers and salads. Don’t miss the Cole Slaw.
  • Ding A Ling Deli This deli offers quality Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, fresh bread and hand made sub rolls. Prices are good and portions are ample.
  • Speckled Perch Don’t get fooled by the name.  This restaurant is all about the beef.  It’s hard to find so ask a local for directions. You’ll find anybody else who’s anybody in Okeechobee hanging in the dining room. The building and decor aren’t fancy in this hole in the wall place but the steaks are great and rib eye will be too big for your plate.  Be sure to start with the French onion soup.
  • Pizza Heaven This local favorite has served the residents of Okeechobee pizza for over two decades.  People love it because it is good pizza.
  • Landing Strip Cafe Good ole country cooking served fast.  A favorite with pilots you can watch planes take off from the dining room.
  • Crossroads Restaurant It`s small, with lots of parking for large trucks and looks like a country diner should inside and out.  They don`t have a huge menu but what`s there is pretty good and you can`t beat the price.
  • Lunkers Sports Grill Lunkers Sports Grille is the place to be if you’re into football.
  • Pogey’s Family Restaurant Simple, affordable hometown favorite.
  • Gladys’ Restaurant Perfect down home cheap breakfast spot when you are on a road trip.
  • Pueblo Viejo This is one of the oldest restaurants in town. The service and the shrimp fajitas are awesome.
  • Parrot Island Grill Known for their seafood but serve other American favorites as well.
  • OK Corral Gun Club They are only open for lunch but have a varied lunch menu with daily specials.
